The ritual

Three steps, because three is what people keep up with

Most routines fail on ambition. This one asks for ninety seconds each morning, a few nights a week, and one evening on the weekend.

  1. 01

    Every morning

    Meridian

A light cream that absorbs in under a minute and sits flat under sunscreen. The one you'll use most.

  2. 02

Two or three nights a week

    Vesper

Encapsulated retinaldehyde at 0.05%, with a full ceramide barrier system underneath so your skin can tolerate it.

  3. 03

    One evening a week

    Terra

A Moroccan clay mask that stays soft for ten minutes and wipes off with a warm cloth. No acids, no tightness.

Vesper and Terra go on different nights. Doubling up won't help and your skin won't enjoy it.

1 ton

of prickly pear fruit yields roughly a single litre of seed oil.

The ingredient

Why prickly pear

The seeds are tiny, there are very few of them in each fruit, and they have to be separated before the oil can be cold-pressed. That's why it's among the most expensive oils in cosmetics, and it's why most brands use a trace of it so they can print the name on the front of the box.

We use it at two to four percent, in all three products. It's the reason these cost what they cost, and it's the thing you'll notice first.

Sourced from North Africa, cold-pressed and unrefined. Origin documentation available on request.

Formulation

What's not in here

Some of these are formulation decisions. One of them is just us being straight with you.

  • No fragrance

Including masking fragrance, which is how "fragrance-free" usually gets claimed.

  • No essential oils

The most common source of reactions in natural skincare.

  • No drying alcohols

Nothing that buys short-term matteness against long-term barrier damage.

  • No regeneration claims

A cosmetic can't regenerate skin. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.

Questions

Questions

Vesper is 0.05% retinaldehyde, which is a lower starting strength than most treatments, and it's encapsulated so it releases gradually. It's also built on a full ceramide barrier complex rather than sitting in a plain base. Start twice a week, not nightly, and give it a month.
